This Privacy Policy is provided in Arabic and English. The Arabic version is authoritative. If the two versions conflict, the Arabic version prevails.
1. Who operates this website
This website is operated by Zouhair Things Smart Solutions LLC, trading as ZouhThings, of Al-Salihiya, Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.
References to "we", "us" and "our" in this policy mean that company.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers this website and the forms published on it.
It does not cover services delivered under a separate written agreement, which are governed by the terms of that agreement, nor any third-party website reached from a link here.
3. Information you submit directly
We collect information only when you choose to send it through a form or by email. The forms on this website are configured to collect the following categories.
- Full name
- Organisation
- Job title
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Country
- Inquiry type
- Areas of interest
- Intended use case
- Meeting context
- Preferred meeting date and time
- Preferred contact method
- Message content
- Careers category
- CV link
- Consent choice
4. Information collected automatically
We do not operate a website analytics service at the time of writing. However, hosting and security systems necessarily process technical information in order to serve and protect the website.
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested page
- Browser or user-agent information
- Security and error logs
5. Contact inquiries
The contact form asks for your name, organisation, email address, inquiry type and message, with telephone, job title, country and area of interest optional.
The inquiry type you select determines which of our mailboxes receives the message, so that it reaches the right team. We do not use it for any other purpose.
6. Demonstration requests
A demonstration request asks additionally which platform or solution you are interested in and what you intend to use it for, so that a demonstration can be prepared that is relevant to you.
Submitting the form is a request. It does not schedule anything and creates no obligation on either side.
7. Meeting requests
A meeting request asks for a meeting context, a preferred date and time, and a preferred format, in addition to your contact details.
Preferences are treated as preferences. Submitting the form does not confirm a meeting.
8. TEXPO meeting requests
The TEXPO page carries its own meeting-request form. Submissions from it are delivered to a dedicated mailbox used for event scheduling, so that requests made during an exhibition are not lost among general enquiries.
Information submitted through it is used to arrange a meeting at the event and is retained on the same basis as any other form submission.
9. Careers inquiries and CV links
The careers form collects your name, email address, area of work, and optionally a telephone number, a summary of your experience and a message.
This website does not accept file uploads. If you wish to provide a CV, you supply a link to it. That link is delivered with your application and is only opened by people involved in reviewing it.
You control what the link points to and for how long it remains available. Please do not include information in a linked document that you do not intend to share with us.
10. Why we process this information
We process the information you submit for the following purposes only.
- To read, route and respond to your enquiry
- To prepare and arrange a demonstration or meeting you have asked for
- To assess an application for a role
- To keep a record of correspondence relating to a possible or existing business relationship
- To operate and secure this website, and to prevent automated abuse of its forms
11. How long form submissions are kept
Information submitted through website forms is retained for up to one year from the date of submission, unless a longer period is required for an active contractual relationship, a legal obligation, dispute resolution, or the establishment or defence of legal claims.
12. Website and email service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information to service providers where necessary to operate, secure and improve the website, deliver communications, or provide features you have requested.
Website hosting and email delivery for this website are provided by Bluehost. Form submissions are processed by a script on that hosting and delivered to our own email accounts.
This website does not store form submissions in a website database.
14. Analytics
No analytics service is installed on this website at the time of writing.
We expect to use one. When we do, it will be named in this policy before it is enabled, and it will not load before the appropriate consent choice where consent is required.
15. Embedded maps
No embedded map is present on this website at the time of writing. An embedded map loads content from its provider, which means the provider receives a request from your browser.
If a map is added, the provider will be named here and the map will not load before the appropriate consent choice where consent is required.
16. Embedded videos
No embedded video is present on this website at the time of writing.
If video is added, the provider will be named here and the player will not load before the appropriate consent choice where consent is required.
17. Chat functionality
No chat service is installed on this website at the time of writing.
If chat is added, the provider will be named here, and what is retained of a conversation will be stated before it is enabled.
18. CAPTCHA and spam prevention
The forms on this website use two measures that require no third-party service: a hidden field that a person never sees and automated submissions usually fill, and a check that a form was not submitted implausibly quickly.
If a CAPTCHA service is added later it will be categorised as a security measure necessary to operate the forms, not as marketing, because that is what it does. It will be named here before it is enabled.
19. Marketing and advertising pixels
This website carries no advertising or marketing pixels at the time of writing.
If any is added it will require your prior opt-in consent, it will be named here, and declining will not prevent you from using this website or submitting an enquiry.
20. Data security
This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on the server, and the private configuration holding our email settings is stored outside the public area of the server.
No website can be guaranteed secure. We take reasonable measures appropriate to a website of this kind, and we do not ask for payment details, passwords or identification documents through any form on it.
21. Access and correction
Depending on the law applicable to a particular request, individuals may have rights concerning access to, correction of, deletion of, or objection to the processing of their personal information.
To make a request, contact us at the address in the Privacy contact section. We may need to ask for enough information to locate your records and to be satisfied of your identity before acting.
22. Deletion requests
You may ask us to delete an enquiry you have sent. We will do so where we are not required to keep it for one of the reasons given in the retention section.
Where we cannot delete something, we will say so and explain why.
23. Withdrawing optional consent
Consent given for an optional purpose can be withdrawn at any time, and withdrawing it will not affect the handling of an enquiry you have already sent.
The consent required to submit an enquiry is separate from any optional consent. We do not bundle them, and no optional consent is selected for you in advance.
24. Children's information
This is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
25. External links
This website links to websites we do not operate, including those of technology providers and event organisers.
We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their own policies before submitting anything to them.
26. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes or as services are added to it.
When a service that processes visitor information is added, this policy will be updated before that service is enabled, not afterwards.
27. Privacy contact
For any question or request about this policy, or about information you have sent us, contact privacy@zouhthings.com.
You can also write to us at Al-Salihiya, Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.
28. Effective date
This policy is a draft under legal review and has no effective date. It does not yet apply.
An effective date will be published here once legal and translation review are complete.
