Company
Engineering for the systems a country runs on
ZouhThings Smart Systems is a Syrian technology company working across connected systems, mobility, security and enterprise software — designed locally, built on proven international platforms.
Overview
Who we are
ZouhThings Smart Systems is a Damascus-based technology company that designs, integrates, and supports secure, intelligent, and connected digital solutions.
We work as a systems integrator rather than a single-product vendor. That means taking responsibility for the whole path: understanding the operating environment, selecting the right platforms, connecting them to the systems already in use, and supporting what we deliver after it goes live.
Our customers operate infrastructure that cannot simply be switched off for an upgrade — utilities, transport operators, telecom networks, public bodies. That constraint shapes how we design, and it is why integration and security are part of the engineering rather than later additions.
What we do
What ZouhThings does
Four kinds of work, usually combined within a single engagement.
Design connected systems
Specifying how devices, networks, platforms and existing software fit together before anything is procured or deployed.
Integrate platforms
Connecting established international platforms to the systems an organisation already runs, so separate tools operate as one.
Build software
Developing enterprise and operational software where an off-the-shelf product does not fit how the organisation actually works.
Support what we deliver
Staying with the system after launch — monitoring, resolving field issues, and extending it as requirements develop.
History
Company history
A Syrian company, built by a team with prior experience in connected systems.
The company today
ZouhThings Smart Systems is a Syrian company established in Damascus. It is the operating company behind the ZouhThings name, and the entity that contracts, delivers and supports the work described on this site.
It was launched to serve organisations in Syria and the wider region directly — with engineering, integration and support based locally rather than delivered remotely.
Where the experience comes from
The team's experience with connected systems predates the Damascus company.
What carried forward is the engineering practice and the working relationships: people who have delivered mobility and IoT systems before, and established links with international technology partners.
How we work
Local expertise, international technology
The combination is the point: proven platforms from abroad, with the people who implement and support them based here.
Based in Damascus
- Engineers on the ground who can attend a site rather than schedule a remote session
- Delivery, integration and support handled locally, in Arabic and English
- Familiarity with the operating conditions systems actually run in
- Direct access to the people who built the system, not a support queue
International technology ecosystem
- Established platforms rather than software written from scratch for each customer
- Technology partnerships that give access to products proven in other markets
- Engineering practices and architectures drawn from international deployments
- Platform roadmaps maintained by their vendors, not dependent on us alone
Approach
How we deliver
The same sequence on every engagement, whatever the technology involved.
Understand the environment
We start with the operating context — what exists, what constrains it, and what the people using it actually need to see.
Design before procuring
Platforms, devices and integration points are specified first, so decisions are made against a design rather than a vendor list.
Deliver and integrate
Deployment, configuration and the integration work that connects the new system to what is already running.
Support and extend
Ongoing support after launch, with capacity to extend the system as requirements change.
Values
How we work
Four commitments that shape engineering decisions rather than sit on a wall.
Security is designed in
Protection of the network path, the platform and access to them is part of the original engineering, not a layer added once something is already running.
Integration over isolation
A system that cannot exchange data with what surrounds it creates work rather than removing it. We design for the systems already in place.
Local delivery, proven technology
We combine international platforms with local implementation and support, so organisations adopt proven products without depending on remote assistance.
Accurate commitments
We describe what we have delivered and what a system will do, without overstating either. An unconfirmed capability is not a selling point.
